The daring design of the Bulova’s Chronograph C burst on the scene in 1970. Patriotically nicknamed the Stars & Stripes, the watch represented a “new frontier” in design. Remarkably bold red-tipped hands, reminiscent of rockets or fireworks, glowed against an intricate navy blue and white dial. These bright pops of color and “wow” design elements were never before seen on a watch face; it quickly became one of Bulova’s most iconic timepieces—and now being reintroduced as part of our Archive Series. With a brawny stainless steel case measuring 46mm with a notched bezel, the six-hand chronograph function is fully loaded with sub dials, tachymeter scale and an hours/minutes track. The lug-free design, stainless steel mesh bracelet, featuring the vintage Bulova logo on the buckle, adds to its expression of high-tech futurism. Its boxed presentation also includes an alternate choice of strap in navy leather.
